The Committee on State Building and Local Self-Government recommends that the Parliament declines the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On the National and Local Referenda"

The Bill (Reg. No.2693) coordinates regulations of the effective Law with the Constitution of Ukraine in the part of naming and renaming of settlements and districts.

The Committee members expressed a number of remarks concerning the Bill. Thus, The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is to scrutinize a number of Bills on the national and local referenda. Therefore, the Parliament members believe that all reasonable motions included in these Bills should be used for elaboration of a single complex and coordinated document, the adoption of which will eliminate discrepancies of the effective Law.
